Description: Our Bed & Breakfast in Victoria BC is situated within minutes of downtown Victoria and the beautiful Inner Harbour, the centre of tourist activities in Victoria British Columbia. We are
situated in Esquimalt British Columbia which is a small municipality bordering downtown Victoria. It takes about 4 minutes by car to travel from our Victoria BC bed and breakfast to the centre of downtown Victoria. Greater Victoria encompasses 13 municipalities with the core being Oak Bay, Esquimalt, Saanich and of course Victoria itself. Victoria BC has a population of approximately 80,000, Esquimalt and Oak Bay approximately 16,000 each and Saanich in the North with a population of 110,000. We are in the East side of
Esquimalt which puts us very close to downtown Victoria. There is a beautiful walkway into Victoria's city centre from West Bay in Esquimalt and you are only a couple of blocks from the Ocean. Lorraine, one of the owners of Cottage Pirouette B&B, is one of the few B&B operators who was actually born in Victoria. As a result she has a very good knowledge of Victoria and how to get around it and find those special places.

Our Bed and Breakfast has had great feedback from our guests. They have described us as one of the best bed and breakfasts in Victoria BC. They describe us as "affordable, senior-friendly, superb, with heartfelt service. We like to describe our bed and breakfast as elegant, without being stuffy or formal. We provide great bed and breakfast service. Our bed and breakfast is not overly-decorated,
however most of the house is done in excellent quality furnishings, with some antiques. Our bed and breakfast serves Japanese and Canadian breakfast, with perfect delicious coffee. There is a
recreation centre close by in Esquimalt centre and a beach and walking trails that follow the harbour into Victoria. We relish the fun and warmth of our guests. Next door is the English Inn and Resort, one of the premiere Victoria wedding centers and home of the Rosemeade Dining Room, Canada's #2 on best new restaurants. The Fin and Gill Bar is a short walk away. Victoria is famous for the Galloping Goose Trail which is over 45 km long in just one direction. It goes out by Sooke and also north to the Victoria BC Ferry Terminal. Bike rentals are possible. If you do not have transportation, local transit is right outside our front door. We have a hot tub, plenty of storage space for bikes and things and a place to hang laundry from your outdoor activities . We are constantly upgrading our bed and breakfast and this spring we will be adding a waterfall and pond to the back garden.

What a great place to stay while you're in Victoria! You are graced by Fleming Beach and historical Macaulay Point, and breath-taking Saxe Point Park. Either place will give you unrivalled views of Juan de fuca Strait and the Olympic Mountains. Sport-fishing, rock- climbing, canoeing and kayaking occur at Fleming Beach. Weddings can happen in Saxe Point Park gardens. Ask Lorraine for details. Next door to us, is the English Inn and Resort, formerly known as the Olde England Inn. You'll be thrilled with the incredible make-over by new owners. There, the Rosemeade Dining Room is elegant, and the food exquisite.

The Westbay Walkway is an incredible boardwalk all the way to downtown Victoria and the famous inner harbor. On the shores, you'll see B.C.'s Parliament Buildings, the Empress Hotel, Royal British
Columbia Museum and more. From Cottage Pirouette B & B, you get the chance to cross The Johnson St. Bridge, a unique bascule (cantilevered) bridge, designed for Victoria in 1920. The designer, Joseph Strauss, then went on to design the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. The EN Rail station is next to the bridge, and the train will take you to points north on Vancouver Island.
