Welcome to Cottage Pirouette Bed & Breakfast, a charming 1930's home located in a quiet neighborhood, just minutes from the centre of downtown Victoria. Stroll to Fleming Beach for awesome views, rock-climbing and walking trails, or to Saxe Point Park, where breath-taking perennial gardens are set against the beauty of the Juan de Fuca Strait.

History:

Cafe Pirouette opened in Tokyo in 1984. It was a hit, because of the delicious coffee, home-baking, and care in the fine details, all in a friendly setting. We took that experience and opened Cottage Pirouette B & B in Lorraine's hometown of Victoria, in 1996. People come back for: the great coffee, teas and hearty home-baked breakfasts, the quiet, the beach, the live music, the comfy beds, the relaxed ambience, and the convenience to all of South Vancouver Island sites. A hearty Canadian breakfast is served in one of two dining rooms, and a Japanese breakfast is available upon request.

The young, young-at-heart, romantic couples and even large groups are comfortable here, and will enjoy features such as line-dried linens, hand-made soaps, gardens full of flowers, and sounds of the harp and piano.  Japanese is also spoken.  Guests find themselves 'at home', and enjoy meeting other guests from around the globe.

Lorraine is a  bicycle nut, and can help you discover some great cycling routes, or advise you on siteseeing with a local's 'vision'. Cyclists will appreciate safe storage, and a host that understands their needs! Hiroaki is originally from Tokyo, and is not only a great cook, but a good golfer and tennis player too. He can give you advice on which golf courses in Greater Victoria will suit your style.

The municipality of Esquimalt, where you will find this gem of a B & B, is one of the first areas to be settled in Victoria, so has a rich history. Ask for pamphlets on no less than 8 walking tours in the immediate vicinity!
